Your new meteorite is a natural piece of Nordlinger. This unusual slab is a piece of the astounding Ries Crater from Altenburg, Germany. The Ries Crater Impact event happened millions of years ago and is the source of Moldavite in the Czech Republic. When the meteor hit Germany, the resulting Moldavite was ejected up to 450 kilometers from the crater.
Each meteorite is unique in shape, color, inclusions, and craters. Meteorites are measured from the longest length, tip to tip.
